Job Summary
Syrian Forum is looking for a talented Social Media Specialist to handle SF’s social media accounts, who will be responsible for creating original text and video content, managing posts, and responding to followers.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with the marketing plan and goals
- Set specific objectives and report on ROI
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging daily content (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news)
- Create the monthly social media calendar
- Collaborate with other marketing and media team members to ensure brand consistency
- Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor their reviews
- Oversee social media accounts' design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures, website, and blog layout) in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Coordinator
- Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness in the digital world
- Develop Syrian Forum’s online presence moving forward
- Coordinate the production of Syrian forum’s newsletter and email campaigns to the donors and other periodic publications in collaboration with the Marketing coordinator
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications.
Website
- Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics
- Make the website up-to-date with our new content and news
- Monitor the traffic analytics and provide weekly reports
Qualification, Experience, and Technical Competencies
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field
- Experience in social media management and strategy is a must
- Experience using various analytics software
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience in handling Mailchimp and sending public emails
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Advanced in both Arabic and English.
